What should I do if my Klarna refund seems incorrect?Updated a month ago
If you have returned an item but the refund or invoice update in your Klarna app does not seem correct, there may be a few reasons for this. Don't worry, we'll help guide you through it.
Once your return has been approved by our warehouse, we notify Klarna of the approved return. Klarna then updates your invoice or processes the refund, depending on the payment method you selected.
Please note that Klarna manages the payment process, invoice, refund, and how the amount is displayed in your Klarna account. This means we cannot view your Klarna app, your Klarna invoice details, or your personal Klarna account.
What should I do next?
First, please check the Klarna app for the latest update. Refunds and invoice updates may take 3–5 business days to appear after the return has been approved.
If the amount still seems incorrect after this time, we recommend contacting Klarna's customer support directly. Klarna can check your invoice, payment status, refund breakdown, and account-specific details.
How to report the issue in the Klarna app
- Open the Klarna app.
- Go to “Orders” and select your Understatement order.
- Tap “Report a problem” and choose the option that best matches your issue, such as “I’ve returned my order”.
This may pause your invoice or payment while Klarna reviews the case.
Before contacting Klarna, please keep in mind that the refund amount may be affected by return fees, partial returns, discount codes, bundle offers, or items that do not meet our return conditions.
